Signing-up for available volunteer shifts

Sign-up Status:

  • Currently the only shifts open for sign-up are during the week of October 13=18.

​

  • We need help receiving applications from families with the children's wishes.

    • We review the applications, making sure they are complete and legible.

    • We need some bi-lingual (Spanish-English) volunteers.

    • We also need people to do data entry - entering the children's wishes into our database.

​

Other volunteer positions will be needed starting in November.  Those will be posted in October and/or November.

How to Sign up

If you haven't already done so, please register as a volunteer here:  REGISTER

To view and sign up for volunteer shifts, use Vicnet

​​In your web browser, go to: https://www.volgistics.com/vicnet/741430​

  • Install the Vicnet app on your phone

  • Use the email address and password when you registered​

​

Please note that while the screens are very similar whether you use a web browser or the Vicnet app on an Apple iPhone or Android phone, there may be minor differences in how they are displayed.

​

  • From the Home screen (below)

    • Any tasks you've already signed up for will be displayed (circled in red)​

  • To view or sign up for tasks, click on Schedule (in red)

  • The Schedule view shows the tasks/events in the current week

  • You can change the Schedule view by Day, Week or Month

  • Navigate to the period (week) you want to volunteer

    • Click on the Calendar​

    • Select the date (week, in this case)

    • It will show you the available shifts

  • For each available shift, it shows you:

    • The start & end time of the shift​

    • The task (click on the task name for a description)

    • How many more people are needed

    • If more people are needed, you can click on the Schedule button to sign up.

    • If it shows "Conflicts", that means that you're already signed up for another task that overlaps.

      • If you click on Conflicts, it will show you what you're already signed up for

    • If it shows REMOVE, you're already signed up for that shift.  Clicking on REMOVE will remove you from that scheduled shift.​

  • After clicking on Schedule,

  • You can add a short message to us (optional)

  • Then click "Schedule Me"

  • You're all signed up.

  • We will send you an email or text the day before to confirm your shift.

  • If, for any reason, you won't be able to help as scheduled, please contact us at volunteer@lodiadoptachild.org or 209-333-1056.
