Social Media Specialist
About the job
Lodi Adopt-A-Child’s mission is to assist underprivileged youth in the community with the resources and support needed to enjoy everyday life and to provide and promote opportunities from which each child may benefit. Our annual Christmas Wish Program is our largest and most well-known program, providing gifts for children from low-income families with toys and clothes. For many of them, these are the only holiday gifts they will receive. Last year we provided gifts to over 850 children from 400 families. The program kicks off in October and runs through to our Christmas party in mid-December.
Social media is a major means to communicate with the families and children we support, along with the sponsors and patrons in the community who donate their time, gifts and money. It is essential that we provide information about our schedules and events. It is equally important for our supporters and donors to see how we’re progressing and what their contributions enable us to do.
Lodi Adopt-A-Child (LAAC) needs someone to help drive our social media campaigns. Our immediate requirements run through the end of 2024 (approximately 10 weeks). At the end of the year, we will evaluate the effectiveness of the program and will decide at that time whether to continue this into the new year.
